Tech Stack
We build on a stack chosen for speed of iteration and long-term maintainability, not novelty:
- Front-end: React, Next.js, and React Native for mobile when a native app is the right call over a mobile web app
- Back-end: Node.js and Python (Django/FastAPI), chosen based on the workload, since Python tends to win when there's data processing or machine learning involved
- Databases: PostgreSQL as the default, with Redis for caching and queues on higher-traffic products
- Infrastructure: AWS or Google Cloud, containerized with Docker, with CI/CD pipelines set up from the start rather than bolted on later
- Integrations: Stripe for payments, Auth0 or custom auth depending on requirements, and whatever analytics and communication tools the product needs
We name the actual stack here on purpose. We're a new agency without a decade of case studies to point to, so specifics about how we build stand in for that. You can evaluate the stack on its own merits rather than taking our word for the process.
Pricing
Custom software and MVP projects run $8,000–$80,000, and the spread is wide because "an MVP" covers a lot of ground. What drives where a project lands in that range:
- Scope: a single-workflow MVP with a handful of screens sits near the bottom; a multi-role platform with several user types and complex permissions sits much higher.
- Integrations make a difference too, since a Stripe checkout is simple, but syncing with an existing ERP, a healthcare data system, or a third-party API with poor documentation adds real time.
- Timeline: compressed launch dates cost more because they usually mean more people working in parallel, not just more hours from the same team.
We quote most MVPs as fixed-scope projects: we agree on what version one includes, price it, and build to that scope, with clearly priced change requests if something needs to expand mid-build.
For projects where the scope is genuinely expected to evolve (ongoing product development past the MVP stage, for instance), we sometimes move to time-and-materials billing, but we say so upfront rather than starting fixed-price and quietly switching once we're underway.
