Privacy Policy
Read Eqvanto's privacy policy to understand what data we collect through this website, why, and how you can request its removal.

Who we are
This website, eqvanto.com, is operated by Eqvanto, a proprietorship registered in India as a micro enterprise under the Udyam scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India (Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-GJ-01-0593921). Our registered office is at 303, Stavan Parishray, Gota, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382481, India.
In this policy, "Eqvanto", "we", "us" and "our" mean that business. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we are the controller of the personal data described here. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), we are the data fiduciary.
What we collect
Information you send us
When you use the contact form or the free website and SEO audit form, we receive the details you type in: your name, your email address, your phone or WhatsApp number (optional), your website address (optional), the part of your site or the type of project you want to talk about, and your message.
If you email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp, we keep what you send so that we can answer you and remember the conversation.
Information about the enquiry itself
When you send a form, we also receive, and include in the enquiry email we send ourselves:
- which button and which page the form was on, for example "Get Your Free Audit on the SEO Services page";
- the pages you viewed in that visit, how long you were on the site, and the page you arrived from (and any campaign tags in the link you used);
- your IP address, your approximate region as shown by your device's time zone, and your browser, device type, operating system, language and screen size; and
- a record that you ticked the box agreeing to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, with the date and time and the version of the text you agreed to.
We use this to answer you properly, to see which parts of the website bring in genuine enquiries, to keep the forms secure, and to show that you consented. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
To stop automated abuse, our server also keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, together with a count of recent submissions, for a few minutes. It is not attached to your enquiry and we cannot read the address back from it.
Information we receive when we work together
If you become a client, we also handle the material a project involves: briefs, content, brand files, the access you give us to your hosting, website, analytics or ad accounts, and the invoices and payment records for the work. Payments are processed by Wise, PayPal, Stripe or your bank. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Server logs
Like any website, ours is served by a hosting company whose servers keep standard technical logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. These are used for security and reliability.
What we do not collect
We do not ask you to create an account on this website, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of data such as health, financial account or government identity information through it. Please do not send us any in a form.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, loads no third-party scripts, analytics, fonts or embedded media, and does not follow you around the web. Even the typeface is served from our own server.
It does keep one small note in your browser's session storage while you browse: the list of pages you have viewed in this visit, when you arrived, and the page you came from. It stays in that tab, is deleted when you close the tab, and is not sent anywhere unless you choose to send us a form, in which case it goes with your enquiry as described above. If you would rather not have it, you can block site storage in your browser settings; the website and its forms work the same without it, and the enquiry then simply carries less detail.
The private content-management area that our team uses to publish articles sets a strictly necessary session cookie so that signed-in staff stay signed in. Visitors never see or receive it.
If we ever add analytics or any other tool that uses cookies, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before the tool runs.
How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- reply to your enquiry, prepare an audit, proposal or quote, and keep a record of what we discussed;
- deliver the services you ask us for and manage the project;
- invoice you, receive payment and meet our tax and accounting obligations;
- keep this website secure and protect the forms from spam and abuse;
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
- improve the website and our services, using only what you have already sent us or information that cannot identify you.
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to. Any follow-up after your enquiry is about that enquiry.
Our legal bases
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing a contract, for enquiries, audits, proposals and project work;
- Our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, running and securing the site, and keeping business records, balanced against your rights;
- Legal obligation, for tax, accounting and similar duties; and
- Consent, only where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.
Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data with the consent you give by submitting a form or contacting us, and for the limited legitimate uses the Act recognises, such as responding to a request you made and complying with the law.
International transfers
We are based in India and work with clients worldwide, so your information is processed in India and on our providers' servers, which may be in other countries. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies and your data is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses with our providers, or on the transfer being necessary for a contract you have asked us to enter into. You can ask us for more detail.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work, including the technical details and consent record that came with them: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client project records (briefs, correspondence, deliverables): for the life of the engagement and up to three years afterwards, so we can handle follow-up questions and support.
- Invoices and accounting records: for as long as tax and accounting law in India requires, which is generally six to eight years.
- Access credentials you share with us: only while the work needs them. We ask you to revoke them when the project ends and we delete our copies.
- Server logs: for the short period our hosting provider keeps them.
When a retention period ends we delete the data or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.
How we protect it
We use HTTPS to encrypt data between your browser and this website, limit access to enquiries and client material to the people who need it, and filter and rate-limit the contact forms against abuse. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
What you can do depends on where you live, but in general you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold personal data about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your personal data, or restrict or stop our use of it;
- give you your data in a portable format (EU and UK);
- stop relying on your consent, if that is our basis for using it; and
- take no further action on a marketing message.
India. Under the DPDP Act you may access a summary of the personal data we process, ask us to correct or erase it, use our grievance process below, and nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.
EU and UK. You have the rights above under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and the right to complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK. We would be glad to put things right first.
California. You may ask what personal information we have collected, ask for it to be deleted or corrected, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email us at info@eqvanto.com or write through the contact page. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Grievances and contact
If you have a question, a concern or a complaint about how we handle personal data, contact our grievance contact, Kuldipsinh Chauhan, Founder, Eqvanto, at info@eqvanto.com. We reply within one business day and aim to resolve the matter within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will say so on the website before it takes effect.
